Slave-1
This is the Fine Molds Slave-1 kit. This a fun kit to build and light. I will be posting some pics of the build process later, but must keep them under wraps for the time being.
Getting the various shades of green to look right was a challenge. It doesn't help that every reference pic looks different!
The cockpit lighting gets washed out when lit for the photograph.
I used liquid latex to mask off the various layers of chipped paint. A stiff brush helped break up the edges. Once the paint dried, the latex peeled right off.
On the lower deck, you can see that dirty, cargo dumping pirate.
